Marlina recently performed in a night of original musical theatre by composer John Coyne at The Chelsea Table and Stage in Midtown, Manhattan.
Marlina recently starred Off-Broadway in the world premiere of "SHEDDING LOAD" at the 59e59 Theaters in Manhattan this past February. Directed by Mia Walker (Jagged Little Pill, Waitress), SHEDDING LOAD follows a Brooklyn family, from 1938 to 2014, as they uncover long-kept family secrets, confront generational trauma, and face the fallout of how a singular event can alter a neighborhood forever.
Marlina recently released "WOOLY", an original short film about the friendships that emerge when you need them most. "WOOLY" is written, directed, and produced by Marlina. "WOOLY" stars Marlina Devery and Conor Brennan with an original score by John Coyne and Costume Design by Sophie Stratyner.
About Me
Marlina is an internationally trained actress, writer, and singer from New Jersey. As a graduate of Pace University's Acting & Ensemble Theater Program, Marlina has learned how to develop original work, act for film/tv, puppeteer, write plays and sketch comedy, and perform classical texts.
Marlina's approach to acting is one of curiosity and collaboration. Previous directors and fellow actors have described her as "grounded and generous", "an old soul with a quick wit", as well as "always searching for the heart of every character." She is always eager to work with other creative artists!
